"I am thinking of you today because it is Christmas, and I wish you happiness. And tomorrow, because it will be the day after Christmas, I shall still wish you happiness. I may not be able to tell you about it every day, because I may be far away or we may be very busy. But that makes no difference -- my thoughts and my wishes will be with you just the same. Whatever joy or success comes to you will make me glad. Clear through the year...I wish you the spirit of Christmas."
....Henry van Dyke
My cousins Pete and Pat sent this message with their Christmas card. Though not everyone celebrate Christmas, the sentiments still resonate.
Happy Holidays!
May your days be joyful and fun-filled.
Cheers, Martha Slavin
Merry Christmas to a very special and beloved friend. Happy New Year too!
ReplyDeleteThank you my merry friend! The snow and the thought of skiing again seems wonderful.
DeleteMerry (day after) Christmas, Martha. What a delight to have met you!
ReplyDeleteMy feeling exactly! Maybe another adventure sometime! Thank you for reading my blog postings.
DeleteWhat a simply beautiful thought, along with your artwork. Hope you, too, find happiness in each day. We are enjoying a thunderstorm on Dec. 26, my birthday. So we are being silly with happiness because we know that snow and ice will follow.
ReplyDeleteyes, that card from my cousins touched me too. We are having our 'secret' California last week in December-first week in January beautiful weather: chilly, blue skies, white fluffy clouds, and warm sun. More rain coming, we hope!
DeleteThank you for showing my blog link on your site. I will need to learn how to do that. Now that I see the zen doddle books that you have patterns in, I will go look for them. I love to draw my own art and the Zen Tangles and Yoga for the Brain, have been my inspiration. So now I have something new to look for.
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking for the Zen Doodle books. They are usually out with the other coloring books -- such a rage, right now! I copied your website address and then inserted in the Links List on the Layout page. One more thing to learn how to do.
DeleteWishing you happiness and joy as well. Thank you for the beautiful holiday greeting, Martha!
